Variable IOG price increase from May 1st

Standing charge in my area getting even costlier.

Absolutely. I was even disappointed about our 50p/month increase in standing charge.

Can't get too upset when thinking about it. Apart from the increase to the SC the rates have only more or less gone back up to what they were before the April 1st decrease. I wasn't complaining before that so guess I shouldn't be too upset now.

Over the last few days my SC as been about the same as I have bought from the grid, and that's without any battery storage.

It is future rises I would worry about, the rates are unlikely to stay where they are for long.

I am constantly looking at future fixes. No point at present as fixes are, to keep it simplistic, made at the current wholesale price. I'm hoping that the man baby's war sorts itself out in the nearish future and prices will reduce a bit before July and hopefully more by October, in time for a fix.
The SVR will of course be going up July and October because they are based on past prices.
