Great work, it's a big step forward.

I wonder if it would be possible to add an "anti-entrapment" safety measure: reading data upon receiving a close command, and if the data remains unchanged, having it reverse ("open window").

I wonder if it would be possible to add an "anti-entrapment" safety measure: reading data upon receiving a close command, and if the data remains unchanged, having it reverse ("open window").

Yeah its possible but i tried to push back a window while its closing, its almost impossible to push back so when the program tries to catch unchanged number its probably too late. But I am open to add futures. I am still trying to find a way to catch lock state by the car key and close all the window before infotainment sleeps. But no luck by now

What do car insurers say about this modification away from no standard spec and will it invalidate MG warranty for anything to do with that part of the car and any systems connected to it?

Your warranty may be cancelled but its your responsibilty. I have ambiance lightening which is attached with wire to my car and I still have guarantee and changed some parts in the car after that. Its just an app you can delete it if you dont like.

The anti-entrapment system is based on two Hall sensors that read the motor shaft, reporting the direction of rotation, pulses traveled, and speed.
Implementing it in software must be quite complex.
