2 isnt enough. You still need to use the brake pedal too much - and when you use the brake you can see the power going more negative when means pressing the brake increases the regenerative braking more before the actual brakes are eventually applied. I actually find this baffling and infuriating.

My hs self charging hybrid has 3 levels of regen I find level 2 works very well tbh haven’t tried level 3 i might give it ago tomorrow

Our ZS EV ( gen1) has 3 levels of regenerative braking, I only ever use level 3.
We live on a mountain and level 3 is great as I hardly have to use brakes at all going down the mountain.
Most of our trip to town is downhill. So we only use about 10 kilometres of range to get to town which is 38 kilometres away.
Unfortunately the trip home chews up about 60 kilometres of range.
When are they going to design roads that only go downhill. That would be great. Where is the Escher of road designs when we need him

Before I got our hs phev 2025 model we had the ZS hybrid+ and I used level 3 on regen which allowed me to drive using "one pedal driving" which i found realy useful, and of course the brake lights come on automatically. I realy miss a level 3 as I don't believe 2 is strong enough.

Exactly. Level 2 is a weird halfway house that I'm not sure anyone would really prefer
