Weird black screen on the left over the non-immersive driver screen when toggling to media view.

Hi,
I got my new 2025 (2024 made) MG EHS PHEV in Sweden last week.

One the first day itself, I found something weird on the driver info display. If you configure the screen to use non-immersive mode (any cluster), and start using the toggle button on the right button of the steering wheel, there is a weird black box appearing on the left when you select media info. It doesn't show up when toggling through TPMS, energy flow, acc. mileage or from start.

Also, this is only observed in the dark mode (when ambient light is low). During the day, when the screen's are in light (white) mode, it does not appear.

Anyone facing/faced similar problem? I will post a picture in sometime.

I have same issue, blank black square in left upper corner, overlaps slightly the other info-box. Only visible when toggled rightside info-square to show music/media.
I’ve had car now for almost 8 months, star buttons hadn’t worked since new, dealer (in Finland) has tried update fixes now 3 times, no success - they now try to get the update installed successfully to their showroom car and then I bring mine again..my SW version is R46.

I haven't had issues with star buttons (yet). But the weird info box is something. Let me know how it goes after update.

Ok, now I had my star buttons fixed - finally! Was a real strugle, it took 7 times in the dealer, and on 5th time they broke the system completely… they updated some other MG type car OS to it!!
So for a couple months I had only about half of the original functions working in the car. I had replacement car from them also for a while, meanwhile they tried to fix it back.
Finally last week they changed the whole entertainment module to the car and now most of the things work again.
Now only drivers monitoring system is not working (I’m not too sad about less bings and bongs tbh ) so the coffee cup image is on side of the screen. And also the weird box mentioned earlier posts still remains. Although according to seller they have a bugfix for that also in some update.
Now I’m gonna just let them be for a while since just got my car back to ’normal’
…and definitely change the dealer if porblems occurs in future!
