Wenea Chargers?

I am due to visit east Devon shortly and am wondering about the Wenea chargers at Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton...According to Zapmap they take contactless payment (I don't have smartphones and apps)but various comments suggest that these chargers are not reliable. Can anyone shed light on this please? If they are not working then I shall probably have to detour to the Instavolt at Honiton or the Gridserve Exeter hub.

I had a problem with the one in sidmouth taking contactless but worked fine with the app the instavolt in Honiton was fine as is the Exeter hub

I went (last year) to use the Wenea chargers at Luss car park, and had the app all prepared ... then got there and found there was no mobile signal so the app was useless! (And no contactless either). ?
