Went outside to an unlocked card and all car windows open

This morning I went outside and found my MG5 unlocked and all the windows fully down. I specifically remember locking the car last night as there have been a spate of car thefts and people trying cars on our estate. The keys were safely inside the house well away from the drive (I've tried unlocking the car with the keys in the same position before and it's not close enough) and no one has been captured on our doorbell camera overnight.

Could this be some soft of software issue? Some weird safety feature thats triggered this? Has anyone else experienced it before. Very glad it wasn't raining too heavily this morning

Where do you keep your keys? If you have the Exclusive and long press on the lock button for too long I believe it opens the windows.

yeah my wife found that little titbit online. The keys were in my jacket pocket overnight but had them in my back pocket for a few minutes before leaving today. Must have sat on them. At least the windows were open no longer than that
