Wet motor in the MG EVs?

Afternoon all,

In looking at reduction drive oil specifications I found myself wondering if the MG EVs use wet motor lubrication systems...if so then this would mean there are points to be aware of when choosing a reduction drive oil. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much, if any, decent technical information around about the systems used in MG EVs at the moment.

I don't think it does have a wet motor, there appears to be an oil seal between the motor and gearbox.

I'll study some more...

Nope, sorry I was wrong, no O-ring on the input shaft. But there is no mention of the motor much other than as a unit which is splined onto the input shaft. So, the motor could be sealed - or not.
