What are you having for your Tea/Dinner tonight?

Vegetarian lasagne tonight. Another favourite.

The red layer will be part of the bolognaise we made yesterday. Will need to make a white sauce out of butter, flour and milk for the lasagne layering.

Well I nearly had haggis a couple of days ago but I finally had it tonight with tatties and sprouts. I shall endeavour to find some turnip tomorrow so that I can have the other half haggis with the correct regulation accompaniment.

Mushroom, leek and butter bean cobbler.

Haggis again tonight but with potatoes, carrots and mashed root veg garnished with sprigs of parsley from a plant that was going half price a week ago because it looked a bit poorly. I’ve been tipping a drop of water into it every morning and it has totally revived. 👌

Playing catch up. Can’t beat the Haggis.

Last night we had smashed burgers in a potato bap, potato wedges and a newly discovered wonder of the world to dress the burger, Bacon Jam, what wizardry is this? I was so shocked at the flavour I forgot to capture the moment. Chris just stuck with ketchup, he's set in his ways, but it's so good I'm having it again for lunch with a sausage roll. :-8

Ish but no, it's quite grainy, googled it and got this:

"Bacon jam is a bacon-based relish made from cooked, drained chopped bacon which is slow cooked with onions, vinegar, and brown sugar. Part of bacon mania, it was invented as condiment for hamburgers in 2007, and is now served on many other foods, including as a spread for bread or toast"

It's rather moorish.
