What happened with XPowers with the built in vibrator

The early XPower owners had the odd complaint about a vibrator they couldn't disable, did these ever get fixed or did MG just end up giving you another one or giving you your money back?

Is there a grave yard somewhere with these troubled XPower MG's sitting and wondering about their future?

At least one member on here, it was totally fixed. Others have said it's improved over time, or with different tyres, or slightly more air in the tyres, or with the damper. etc. Pretty sure some rejected them. And some weren't affected at all.. It's still a bit of a mystery. 🤷‍♂️

As discussed previously this was via the Financial Ombudsman.

MG UK refused to do the stage 2 fix in the UK, a steering damper was offered which did'nt always work, so people are still suffering with it in the UK. Some more than others.

One day MG UK were going to apply a comprehensive fix for the fault, the next day they were'nt and it was suddenly just a characteristic .... go figure !!

I think @case dismissed is the only UK owner to get compensation AFAIK so far.

There is a dedicated Facebook Group with lots of info worldwide on the problem.

I know of one other person that successfully went through the rejection route about 11 months back. He had to commission an independent report and threaten legal action but eventually the lease company gave in, gave him a full refund of fees to date and with a bit more pressure, paid the £1.2k that the report on the vibrations cost him.
 
If they were marking them unfit for purpose, I wondered what their salvage value was ..... I'd love to make a hill climb, street class drag car and short circuit car out of one, but the AU$50,000 price tag over here is tad too much and they will only allow factory EVs to compete ...... otherwise, I'd build a twin motor MG4 using the MG ZS front wheel drive and fit the Zombie inverter boards to reprogram them for max output rather than the restricted output and top speed the factory programs into them ....
