Morning all,

So I’m sat here at the car wash waiting so I decide to wipe the dash over. It was only then did I notice this strange black stud? But I’m not sure it is a fastening stud? It feels like a button if I press it.

It’s located to the left of the steering wheel by the height adjustment leaver incase the pictures aren’t clear.

Any ideas and does your Uk right hand drive have one too.

Mine is a 2022 model but imagine it would be on others.

Had my a year never seen until today could be a senior for light or a indication for when programming on a computer otherwise no idea not in the manual.
 
It could be a temp sensor. It’s not what I’d expect to see there though as it’s close to the drivers leg it could easily give a force reading of the cabin temperature.
 
It looks a bit like a scrivit fastner, used for joining panels. Most commonly made out of some form of plastic but maybe they've tried to tart it up a bit for exposed internal use. Perhaps...
