What is the actual range of the MGS6 during winter

Just looking at the MGS6 and it states 329m range, but can a current owner tell me what the actual range they have had during this last winter or on cold days

Well, I get more than 329 meters!
Seriously though, did a 200km round trip last weekend. Snow and ice on the road, temperatures between -7 and -11 and speed mostly between 80 and 100 kph, used heat in the seats for 3 seats and heated stearing wheel, normal driving mode and climate set to 24. Used 52%, so would estimate a usable range of about 375km.
Edit: I have the dual motor, with WLTP of 485km

A Norwegian motor publication does a range test with 20-30 cars two times a year, one in winter and one in the summer. The MGS6 actually lost the least amount of range compared to it's WLTP range. On the day of the test it was really cold, -15 to -30, and the route goes from Oslo and towards Trondheim, and it's mostly uphill for the first 350-400km. The MGS6 did 345km in those conditions, but they drive until the car stops and is completly drained. MGS6 drove further than Volvo EX90, which has a WLTP of well over 600km.

Unless you are driving long trips regularly, range is not that important imo. As a rule of thumb when going on longer trips, charge when you can, not when you have to.

Got 180 miles from dual motor, 80% charge, in 0-5 degree c weather. Cabin set to 22 degrees, heated seats and steering wheel on.

The useable battery capacity is listed as 73.4 kWh.

I've been averaging 3.1 to 3.4 mi/kWh in current temperatures largely between 6 and 10°C. So charged to 100% you can expect a range of 220–250 mi, or ~180–200 mi at around 80% charged. That efficiency is largely achieved on regen 2 in Comfort mode. But I tend to just 'drive' it rather than drive for efficiency (unless I'm getting low on charge). Cabin is set to 19°C, seats or steering wheel generally not heated more than a minute or two.

Edit: Of course, you don't take it to zero. So knock 40–50 mi off those range figures if you just take it to 20% charge state. (These are all combined mileage! 70mph on motorway for extended periods will reduce that range again.)

Are we talking about “long distance” 100% charge or 80% health? 329 won’t be achievable in winter, nor without wanting to start WW3 (Trumps already doing that) will that be seen in any conditions. However dependent on where and how your driving I’d say on 100% you’ll see thick end of 300.

In short, the range obtainable in the MGS6 is similar to a Enyaq, ID4, Zeeker7, BYD Sealion, Smart#5 etc.

Range Anxiety is very overstated.
Micropop has hit the nail on the head - "Unless you are driving long trips regularly, range is not that important imo. As a rule of thumb when going on longer trips, charge when you can, not when you have to."
There is an excellent video about EV adoption from Rory Sutherland - it is very long but if you scroll to 2.50 minutes he explains range anxiety and how to counter it. EV's are not for ALL drivers but I would guess that 90% of ordinary people with private cars could live with a range of 200 miles.

Also 90% of people who own an EV would not go back to an ICE car.

We do a 280 mile trip to visit friends a couple of times a year and in the MG4 we had to stop twice in Winter compared to once in the summer, so it would be great to make it without stopping enroute and then charge with their 7kW whilst sipping some beer instead of sitting in an empty charger point for 45 mins during the journey with a cold cup of coffee

I can only imagine that in normal mode it's very similar to the single motor version in Sport mode. But then engage Sport mode on the dual motor version and you will enter the realm of 'Doc' Brown's DeLorean!
