What you having for your Tea/Dinner, tonight. ?

Ahh well, we were going to have something from the menu of our local Italian restaurant tonight, just order online and go and collect it, because the Mrs had a £20 voucher that she won at Bingo at Christmas, but she can't find the voucher, so we're having chicken n chips out of the freezer.
Has she tried looking where you lost your x Power

Diced chicken stir fried with shallots, tomatoes, baby carrots and loads of kale. Then a couple of spoonsfull of Tamarind paste in a wee drop water as a flavouring gravy by
Keen to try that.

What brand do you buy?
usually loose from my local health food shop but I’ve even used Tesco or similar. When I visit my Granddaughter in San Diego she acts as my satnav and takes me to Trader Joe’s where we get loose steel cut oats from a barrel and it’s exactly the same.
The only thing I’d insist on is to cook it in the time honoured method as used by the clansmen of old - in a microwave 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

OK, follow up post, the Chicken and Chips, although very basic, was lovely and tasty with Southern Fried Chicken Strips.

And the Italian restaurant voucher has been found, turns out it's only a tenner, not £20 as we thought, but still, it's Italian next Saturday. 😊

Homemade chilli for the last three nights made with two types of beans, black and red kidney, and three different chillies with added vegetables. The first night with rice, second with baked potato and last night with brown rice.

Tonight it's egg, chips and baked beans.
A deluxe baked dinner adding the egg and chips, a master chef touch

Can't beat a nice simple, tasty meal. 👍
You can shove all this Arty Farty food, where the sun doesn't shine. 🙄
That's one way to lose weight I suppose, I do feel sorry for you if that is where they put your taste buds .....

Last night was Beef Stroganoff, the wife's recipe, yum, judging by the amount left over, it will also be tonight's and tomorrow night's menu as well

This morning, I was treated to scrambled eggs, fried tomato cut in quarters, and something or other green in the eggs, might have been the coriander left over from last night. ...... I will head out later to check the MG for approved or non approved scratches and dents

A nice tasty crockpot, slow cooked vegetables, and a touch of spice from chicken tikka, and some nice toasted sub roll. Delicious.

I'm currently in the slow cooker part of the year and have quite taken to using those flavouring sachets from Schwartz/Colemans/own brand. These produce a great flavoursome meal with virtually no prep and don't need to be labelled as the slow cooker varieties, use any of them aprt of course from the rub mix types.
Latest was the Shwartz Smoked Paprika Chicken mix.... very nice. I don't necessarily add all the stuff they suggest and just improvise, it's all about the flavour. Sorry no photos.

Yep, always enjoy a good old fashioned simple meal. Can't beat it. 🙂👍 Arty Farty food, is just an expensive con, which some folk seem to fall for. 🙄🤪
