Hi all whats everyone paying for a 5th mg5 service which includes coolant change

Ive had two prices so far

1 at 360
1 at 279

Thanks Dan

Hi, pop your details in here to see what throws up. I set up a new 2 year plan and it fixes the service price.
Got my 5th service locked in at £263.40

Hi thanks for this i will have a look at it
One slight wrinkle in the system us that my payment was taken by direct debit (for the whole amount) and my dealer wouldn't let me book the service for a date earlier than the direct debit date. I just squeaked in before the warrantee cut off date so all was well but it is something to think about.

So ive been to a few dealers and the best I can get is 280 with a A service including coolant I find this a rip off personally for what they do.

Had a quote from a non franchised dealer who will use genuine mg approved parts for £110

I think the days of cheap ev main dealer servicing has gone i find now with the tax incoming the only two benefits are saving fuel and helping drive down the co2 emissions

My own view is, due to unrealistic depreciation ( 3.6yr zs @ 8k) unless I'm quoted £150 or less for yr 5 service I'll avoid main dealer service and go to my local guy and forget about any warranty issues Can't imagine I'll buy another 'new' ev either, s/hand next time for me.

Whilst I do have empathy with garages unable to make money out of ev's, you can't charge customers for 'made up' service tasks and wiping down with a not so oily rag

Definitely agree here with this ive lost a lot of money on mine to the point ill be using the voluntary termination get out of jail card in the new year. A part of me does worry a bit as ive had to make a fair few warranty claims but on the other hand we are doing nothing wrong going else where

What warranty claims did you have? Anything major?

Ive been very unfortunate with mine and had a fair few issues all is ok now though
.heat pump failed
.alloy wheels x 4 changed
.2 x drive shafts
.washer jet
.wiper motor
. Shock absorber (not covered under warranty)
