Got one off Amazon now but ain't going to confess to MG that I've had to buy my own, will wait and see!!!.

Had reply from MG and it would appear there should have been one in the boot so Salty you were right all along. Had the replacements fitted now so asked for the tool he used to get the old ones off, even though I've purchased one i was determined to get one off them!!!

Certainly MGs rationale. But to me that's cobblers. It should have one, spare wheel or no spare wheel. As trivial as it seems, I'd make sure I got one.

Hi All. Thought I'd look at changing the colour of my wheel bolt caps and bought a chrome (plastic) set (20) off AliExpress which included the removal tool. (other colours available)
Looks smarter than the original colour (in my opinion) and cheap .... even with freight to NZ.$6.85 NZ ... about 3 quid ?
Note : I ordered correct size (17mm) ,but, the fit was tight, so, had to buff out the insides slightly with straight round grind stone in drill.

Only had the car washed once since we got it so after one wash the bolt covers wouldn't deteriorate that quick.

Just for reference, yes, just one wash at a car wash using too strong a concentration of TFR will ruin some plastics. The dealer has changed them under goodwill really, as it's not a valid warranty issue, it's external chemical damage.

I'd advise not using those cheap hand car wash places!
