Wheels & Tyres

I'd have loved the option to have 17" wheels on my 2026 MG HS PHEV.
Smaller wheels/taller tyre walls = smoother ride quality & much better pot hole resistance.
Unfortunately, it was 19" or nothing! ๐Ÿ™„

Yeh, but they look so much better.
As always each to there own, but 17s would look silly on an HS. Only my opinion of course. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

Nah mate, look at proper Land Rovers.
Like Defenders etc
Tiny wheels with massive balloon tyres.
That definitely enhances their ability to go anywhere.
I appreciate that an MG HS is only pretending to be an off road vehicle.
But IMHO, small wheels/tall wall tyres would actually enhance the pretend look in my book ๐Ÿ™‚

Totally fair enough. As I said each to their own. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
I'm really enjoying this forum mate.
It's an INCREDIBLY rare & refreshing commodity these days!
Seemingly, folk can exchange opinions without Admin taking sides!
Long may that continue ๐Ÿ™‚

Wouldn't fancy slammed on 21s, then. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

That won't happen on here, everybody is entitled to their opinion whether it's right or wrong. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Cool! ๐Ÿ‘
I'm Admin on a motorcycle forum & I insist on those exact same rules.
If it gets offensive/swearing I'll intervene but only to keep the peace (no instant bans). But differences of opinion are actively encouraged.
In my experience, the guys that disagree with info posted tend to be older guys who actually know what they are talking about.
Not guys that have Googled info with no actual experience of the fault or the implications of the remedy!
But both parties are treated with respect. Unless they start to abuse the counter argument.

As I said Clive.
This place seems to hold the same values ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm obviously waaaaay too practical @salty!
That "looks" the dogs dangling bits mate!
But as the UK's roads are currently like the surface of the moon.
I'd fit it with 14" wheels to preserve the suspension & the wheels/tyres themselves.
I run my Merc on 18's and even then it crashes over uneven (pot hole riddled) surfaces.
Which seriously upsets me! ๐Ÿ˜”

More pictures - I will probably lower the car and then mount spacers if needed, but I kind of like the flushness - for now :)
