Why is there not a hybrid version of the MG5?

Hybrid estate cars are in demand, why is it only electric?

It's an old design of car now, was originally a basic cheap petrol engined car, converted to a basic full electric car. It might be that a hybrid conversion was going to be too expensive.

No plans for a new estate car unfortunately.

Disappointing. Ford are bringing back the Focus. VW Group have a new estate platform coming for the hybrid and electric era.

There is a new MG5 in China but it's no longer an estate. Leapmotor make an estate car, the C10 (love the green colour) which comes in about £36,000 though you could probably find it cheaper. If all you want is space inside I reckon the MGS5 is a better deal.

That looks a bit SUV to me.

I kinda looks like an estate car in the back and an suv in front. The bland front is down to aerodynamics I expect.

If you ignore the SUVs, the MG4 is probably the nearest thing to an estate car in the current MG range in the UK.
