Wireless AA Adaptor

Hi Guys,

Not sure if there's a post for this already? I know there's a carplay one.

I'm looking at getting a wireless Android Auto adaptor because im finding the cable situation isn't working for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

There are loads of threads on this.

I have this one and it works great - simply do the firmware update (if needed) then set a start-up delay of 30s.

I use a Carlinkit 5.0 mini with a 30 second delay.

This thread mentions heaps of dongles, I know it says CarPlay but most work for AA as well.

I've been using a Carlinkit 5.0 for the best part of a year and it's been reasonable; once you set the "startup delay" to 25 or 30 seconds and make sure you've updated the firmware it works 90% of the time which for me was OK - my wife was less impressed with the occasional dropout and so I investigated other options.
If we ever tried to change which 'phone was connected mid journey then it was game over! We got pretty sick of seeing that status display with both of our 'phones listed but neither connecting.

I just bought one from Ali Express. It cost a whole $6.48 & because I didn't spend $15.00 another $3.00 postage, so under $AU10.00. Installation could not have been simpler. Turn the car on, plug it in to the USB A port & it appeared on the Infotainment screen. Pair it with the phone & that's it.

There is virtually no lag & it reconnects every time I get in the car. I have android auto but it also works with Carplay.
