Wow

I found all around 2.5 bar perfect and the most comfortable ride, however, the tyre pressure monitor doesn’t seem terribly accurate. I find it over states the position. Oddly over the past few weeks the pressures are reported to have gone up and stayed up.

Checked the pressures again as delivered from new last week. They were all 3.1bar!!
Have to admit Darlington Drive MG not the best. So obviously didnt check tyres during PDC.

Lowered to 2.6 at moment and see if any better later when I go out.
If still a rumble, hopefully get the Bridgestones swapped for Cross Climates with a part exchange deal.

We have an S5 and an HS PHEV. The TPMS doesn't seem that accurate on either - I put the tyres up on both cars to 37psi today, as per the manual, and the difference in ride was very noticeable and not in a good way.

Used our S5 today on a couple of different stretches of dual carriageways.
The road surfaces varied between, not so great and pretty smooth.
On the best sections covered with the low noise surface tarmac, at a constant speed between 55 - 57 MPH.
I could definitely hear in the cabin, what sounded like a tyre drone.
If I lowered the speed to about 45MPH it was not as bad and increase the speed slowly to about 60 MPH is was less noticeable.
But in that mid fifty’s speed band, it was very noticeable !.
The noise IS intrusive and unwanted.
It was very similar noise that we had experienced, when we had factory fitted Bridgestone’s on our previous VW Golf GTE.
Replacing all 4 tyres 🛞 turned out to be the best decision.
Problem solved !.
