Please find if anyone else has posted a similar issue on the MG4 xPower:
Has anyone else experienced this?
Several times now, when my XPower is stopped in traffic on a slight incline with ACC active, the car rolls backwards as soon as the vehicle in front starts moving.
It lasts just a moment, but enough that I had to press the brakes to prevent further rollback.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

To the forum. 🙂👍

If you are in traffic you probably want to switch form ACC to TJA. Active cruise is more for motorway miles where traffic jam assist is for sitting in traffic. Might also make a difference if you had one pedal driving on or off as this will bring the car to a complete stop when on.

I don't have ICA in my car ... just ACC and TJA. Maybe they rebranded TJA to ICA but I don't know.
According to good old Google:

"MG ICA" refers to Intelligent Cruise Assist, a driver-assistance feature in many modern MG vehicles that combines adaptive cruise control with steering assistance.

Is this what TJA usually does?

If you engage the parking brake/auto hold?

Many vehicles will roll back on a slope if no action is taken by the driver to avoid it.

Why do you have ACC activated in town/traffic?

Just because the vehicle is electric and configured like a smart phone does not mean the driver has to do nothing.

The brake pedal is large suggesting it is designed for left foot braking as well as more conventional right foot braking so the brake pedal can be depressed with the left foot and released while balancing the vehicle with the "throttle".
