Xpower vs Ioniq 5 N

Xpower is still way ahead of anything else for not only similar money but also other EVs costing significantly more

I agree with the first part in terms of performance, disagree completely with the second, "Significantly more money" buys you are far better quality car

Well, I can 'afford' to buy pretty much any EV from any manufacturer on the market today. However, that doesn't mean I will blindly spend my money and that policy has paid huge dividends over the years which puts me in a position to buy virtually any car available. The Xpower is still way ahead of anything else for not only similar money but also other EVs costing significantly more. Brands mean nothing to me and products that had flocks of customers in the past that were considered 'exclusive' are now commodities and that applies to most cars, particularly EVs.

The X power lacks alot of refinement of other cars what offsets its shortcomings is its cost ..

My 2012 volvo s60 t6 r design with the polestar tune that i owned before the X power was a far better car for refinement and driving ..

Yes it had outdated systems to some degree but also had systems thats are missing on my 2023 build X power,

Agreed no where near as fast but a much better driving car than the X power in my opinion but thats where the money comes in that car was 70Kaud in 2012 and my x power was 55k aud in 2023/2024 ..

90% of the time you only get what you pay for ..

Honestly where the X power really wins is ANYTHING that is remotely as quick in the EV market ( even to some degree the ICE market ) is 15k to 100kaud plus ..

More so with the depreciation that ALL EVs have your just going to throw away less money at the end of the day ..

Yes you get 'more' for your money but no where near what should be given for the increase in cost. It's why I always buy Chinese smart phones, as good as the functionality as an iphone/Samsund and often more but for a third of the price. Some are brand 'slaves' others search out value and price/performance.

There is always a cost you pay for quality ive driven BMWs Mercs and they are much better build than your cheaper cars the Audi eTron gt which the X power smokes down the quarter mile

Its about in Aussie dollars 100k more but i bet while it gets smoked by said X power it will not be ANYWHERE near as nice as the AUDI better tech , better ride , better handling, better interior ,etc etc ..

German cars are just built better by far ..

and yes there is always that added cost of the badge and statis that comes with buying that prestige car ..

The w..k factor .. I own a BMW or MERCEDES or AUDI but there is some merit to their cost !!

I've also owned German cars, VW Corrado VR6, BMW 330d, Porsche 911 (993) biturbo. Sure nice cars but not nice enough to justify their huge premiums, you're not getting anywhere near 100% better features or 'quality' for a true 100% increase in price, sometimes 200-300% increase and this is exactly how the 'premium' manufacturers play to their customer base, pure marketing which in reality no where near justifies the premium pricing.
