Not sure where to start as my HS has not been charged for days, I am still awaiting an 'Urgent' call back from Myenergi from last week. Luckily I have an engine up front to turn the wheels.

Present situation is that I have the Zappi App that reports 'EV is preventing charging', All seems okay on the App so assumed it was a car fault. 00.30 this morning I had a look at the zappi as it should have been charging on IOG but was not.
I unlocked the car and then re-locked it and watched the dash screen, the 'Connecting' popup was showing but it did not connect and the screen went black.
I have a 5 digit lock code set but have had this for sometime so don't think that is the problem. The Zappi is tethered so I tried re-plugging in, no luck.

After trying different options so try to get them; Zappi and HS; talking to each other I have given up, its 01.30, in my dressing gown and it's very cold outside. At present the Zappi is showing Delayed Charge.
Any suggestions?

It sounds like the car has charging set for a particular time. If the car is set to charge at a set time, then it will prevent the zappi from charging until the car says it is ready.

The HS PHEV does not a 'set time' charging option, only has its own granny charger. I will try the granny in the morning. it's nearly that now though!

Had similar with my Hypervolt. Check that you don’t have a charging schedule set up on either the MG app or the car itself. If you do, delete the schedule.

Thank you but my HS is a 2022 not the latest model, it has no inbuilt charge timer schedule to delete and the MG App does not I gather work on the earlier version.
I have charged it partly this morning just to see if it would accept a charge on the granny, no problems at all so I don't think the car is preventing the charge, it was trying to connect to the Zappi but failed.
There is a conflict here and I am sure it's the Zappi that has somehow got a setting wrong and with me trying to find the problem may have made matters worse.

have you tried just setting the Zappi to "Fast Mode" Try that setting manually and see if the car accepts the charge.
Otherwise download a zappi manual and go through the settings

My Energi phoned me yesterday morning and were extremely helpful, they went through the Zappi screen by screen and the hub with instructions on what to amend in the settings. At the end all was working fine and I was able to charge the car!! :)(y)

Hi
Did you hold the charge plug in the wire may be pulling down on the plug so the car and charger will not talk to each other. It happened a few times with my one, do you hear the locking pin move it to lock the plug in. If it can not talk to the charger then it will will unlock and try to lock again to lock the plug, will do this a number of time then stop. If you need help I can pop down and have a look with you.
Sorry just seen the post above from you
