Just had a call from leasing company my February order now expected mid October

Hi all been to my local mg dealer again today in the west Midlands just to get a idea of what's going on as I know some of you are still waiting for Nov/Dec orders.

I placed my order on 14th April SR trophy silver but the dealer have allocated me a order that they placed from Feb which is some good news I think that was the rule that mg had that all dealers had to have a name by there cars by a certain date otherwise be cancelled.

The good news
. Allocated a earlier order
.Grant is ok and been assured I've got it (1500)
.will get a sunroof



The bad news I'm still a Tba and she has said it's highly unlikely I will see it for September and can only hope by end of the year it will arrive at least she's been honist and I can make arrangements when my current lease ends .


They do have a couple of mg5 exclusive estates coming in though but with no grant if anyone is interested

Just received this fro mg Uk.
MG orders placed in March there is an estimated lead time of 8 to 9 months, however, this is subject to change due to various factors in the motor industry. It is best to stay updated with your purchasing MG dealer for delivery updates.

hundreds were built before the lockdown in China but were waiting for the semi-Conductors to be fitted.

seems we are all just taking info from wherever we can in the hope that some sticks. I have just, out of interest, logged into Tusker under Sal sacrifice, and from two weeks ago, when you could not order a ZS, they are now offering “coming soon” ZS SE SR 52 weeks…… ZS Trophy LR. - 40 weeks. Go fathom. Nobody, including MG have a clue what the feckity is going on and we are all like fish on the hook thinking that we have just got a tasty worm.

as a previous poster has said, we are over a barrel. Pull out now, where in the hell is the next car gonna come from and how long will it take, most importantly, how much extra will it cost come the eventual delivery.

I really feel sad for those who have been waiting since November through to Feb. totally wrong and bad service from MG in my opinion.

There's no evidence to say they are sat waiting for components.

Likely there are multiple reasons, and ultimately it doesn't matter, as for the most part they have no reliable estimates to give.

Latest update from Vanarama, MG probably get back to them by next week now not this week and confirmed that revised dates will be Jan 2023 (TBC)

I was not sure whether to post here or start a new thread. i wonder if enough of us made a fuss through the media about the wait, perhaps contacting some of the car press, then MG would take some notice - particularly if it started to affect their reputation.

I do Nutnut, I find them very entertaining and very useful. However, i also find them, at times, disingenuous ( I hasten to add, not intentionally).

I have found the info imparted re: no more order, dealers will be fined, any stock orders will be cancelled, etc etc, then certain dealers being offered 60 vehicles for sale in a ‘oner’, very confusing.

It was insinuated (from members watching these podcasts) that when I was able to order a vehicle in June, that I should not be allowed to and was asked for the dealer to which I was dealing with.

At that time, i was not aware of all the gen imparted via the pod casts, or indeed from members from this forum. So I felt a little uneasy when I learned the woes of many on here, whom have ordered over ten months ago.

I honestly believe, the information we are afforded, is basically others subjective thoughts. MG UK are utterly incompetent and what ever they say, often gets forgotten about when the next load of tripe gets ready for public dissemination.

Hi, tried this - wrote to Auto Express and What Car. Did not even have the courtesy to respond. Had a look inside the magazines and guess who has got full page adverts - MG….
No wonder they do not want to run negative stories.

I never heard how many, but it makes sense that there MG have had built cars waiting at times - they were not the only manufacturer that opted to do this by all reports. It was covered in the community news here also, but not everybody listens to that let alone reads the last thread pages, so it's one of those things that'll keep coming up.
