That does appear to be a BIG switch of number, of cars from what we are use to seeing from previous launch numbers.
Usual format is to supply each dealer in the U.K. with two cars.
A demo model and a showroom model.
Approx 150 dealers in the U.K. would naturally require 300 ( ish ) cars.
Having a surplus of of 700 cars would certainly be a first for MG alright !.
Still only a spare capacity of just over two+ spare cars per dealer of course.
Extremely likely that these will already have names against them for sure !.
Then you find yourself back into another loop of waiting for the second batch, of mainly customer orders to arrive.
I would hope that priority of shipment dates where given to very patient long awaiting customers of other MG models, like ZS EV’s face lift’s that have been on order since Nov / Dec of last year !.
Time will tell of course.
