MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

I've always checked in with Balsall common as my daughter lives there. When they opened in Coventry I continued chasing them as one of your earlier posts didn't inspire with confidence to transfer to Cov. I think you said sales staff were there one day and gone the next. I'm wondering if they weren't as efficient as the chap I dealt with (Matt) in processing orders/grants etc. My order went through when i actually ordered not the beginning of the next month that others seem to be experiencing.

And there was me thinking, I’d be the only one driving around Coventry in a nice ZS…your going to beat me to it, will have to look out for you..

So was out in Percy Porsche and popped into BC MG, Tim was there and my Car still says it’s on “shortage” Tim says it’s because it’s the LR battery that’s the problem Also said he reads posts on the forum, don’t know which bits as it’s a big forum, also said they may or are thinking about offering MG4 to customers that have been waiting for a long time (don’t think I’d be interested) also said if a LR car turned up in a different colour they would offer it to me, again unless it was a black one, don’t think I would be interested, that’s maybe easier to say, till I’m offered one…

Actually I turned down a white LRTC connect last week that was a cancellation. We have ordered silver (allegedly for September / October delivery) We will take any other colour except white if any other cancellations happen to arise. The Mrs is adamant she does not want white. It dies hive me faith in the dealer though not stiffing us. Note I am not running a car currently (ts doable where I live). It kicked the bucket back in March (hence the new card order).

Well then. Watched Miles tonight. Another great podcast. However. Waiting for a TCLR in blue from the 4th of January was not encouraging.

From watching what SAIC is doing ZS EV pre July 2022 are not being prioritiesd. It is though SAIC have moved on. MG4 and other new EVs on the new platform seem to be the new vision.

ZS EV will be gone by mid 2023. My opinion. New MSO platform will be the future of SAIC.

2000 MG4 being delivered in September is a joke. The MG4 Trophy Long Range apart from the sunroof I guess would have the same amount of semiconductor chips as the ZS EV. So how can SAIC find those chips and wire harness cables?

Honor does not seem a high priority of the Company. Stuck now waiting for a car. 32 weeks and counting. Never again SIAC.

After hearing on the podcast about SAIC's marketing ploys regarding the new platform, I have to say I'm not really prepared to wait until next year for my April ordered ZS EV when it seems that it'll be obsolete before it even gets here.
Calling my dealer on Monday to cancel.

Quick answer some from November/December last year still waiting for their cars. It’s pot luck some will likely wait a year, some less. You need to ask your dealer if it’s been built/on a ship.

Fingers crossed you won't wait as long as most on here since you ordered an SR instead of LR, I ordered my SR Trophy in Black (#team black) on April 1st through Motability and picked my car up on June 1st. Personally I believe a lot of the issues have been with the LR especially the connect version.

It sounds like you are at the dealer almost every day...are they sick of you yet?

This was always going to be the risk given the rate of slow output.

It doesn't surprise me.

I'm not buying this LR/SR difference in supply either. If you look at the list on this site I don't think there's too much difference between the two when you account for volumes.

If mine doesn't arrive by October, I'm cancelling.

Just received a call from the dealer, my car is on a boat due in for the end of September, LV trophy connect ordered end of Jan 22.

Same as me. Ordered 6th Jan notified due to dealer 29/9 fingers crossed, Red LRTC. Can’t wait

Absolutely love it and so will you and anyone else that's fortunate to get one, hopefully with quite a few ships coming in a lot of members will be very happy over the next month or two.

That’s the reason I cancelled my LR Trophy order this week, waiting since December with no sign of it being delivered and in the meantime newer models being prioritised and shipped. MG can kiss my **** from now on, no more business from me.
