MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

you should of received it in September but MG have stopped shipping the ZS this month so they can just ship over the MG4.

This doesn’t surprise me unfortunately. Along with the November orders such as myself saving £4k on the price of the car plus the sunroof. Really not happy about the ongoing wait.

I congratulate all he people who have had their ZSEV LRTC turn up so please don’t take this personally but it’s really starting to make my blood boil that so many of them were ordered up to 6 months after mine (Early December 2021, with full grant of £2500) which is not even built yet according to my dealer, 90% of me really wants to tell MG to stick it but I know that’s what they want me to do so they can sell my vehicle at a much higher price, I’m really believe now that this is MG policy to make more money at the expense of customer loyalty.
Exactly my thoughts and I didn't order till mid Feb, we are told Connect models are hard to supply but then realise its only for certain orders.

Cupra Born more expensive than either of those 2? Wow.

Both of those are £200 more per month than I pay for my MG5. I could afford it but that's money I could have been saving or investing. As nice as both of those cars are, I wouldn't be wanting to pay that much for cars with smaller boot space than what I have (and need, as we currently have 4 dogs).
The Cupra Born was touching 600pm sucks air through teeth

I’ve always thought that in life You Get What You Pay For & when I saw the ZSEV I thought it was either good value or too good to be true, I still believe the car represents excellent value for its price but it would seem in MGs case the phrase applies to the way it treats its customers.

I don’t think that there’s any coincidence that the majority of people still waiting for their vehicles are the ones who ordered when it was at its cheapest.

Perhaps it would be interesting to know how many of them are affinity scheme orders?

I would call BS on that.

In a new development for me the dealer has just confirmed mine is actually on a ship!

Spoke to the dealer today, car is currently in Portbury docks and they said its being processed. What do they mean by that?
There's often a bunch of port side stuff they do to it before it gets to the dealer. probably checks to see it survived weeks at sea. Hyundai used to install the 12v batteries at Tilbury dock. I wouldn't worry.

Is it a cancellation or your ordered car?
Cancellation not mentioned on the two occasions i spoke to my supplier since i ordered the car. Car ordered same week in May that MG suspended taking further orders for ZS EV. I queried with my salesman at that time whether my order would go through and he said that it had. Also told him that i was aware from this Forum that people had been waiting up to six months with still no sign of delivery dates. He seemed pretty confident on a September delivery and i am surprised that he has been proved correct. My purchase was a part exchange cash balance transaction. Whether that speeded up delivery i do not know but following this Forum over the past few months it seems that lease transactions through 3rd parties are the ones suffering most delays.

I would bet you are correct in assuming 3rd party lease has been pushed back. Sad but true 🤘🎸

My dealer says that MG rejigged the order dates so that they are now in order of the date that your name went on the order.
So all those who took over dealer placed orders are not getting the benefit. So for example we ordered in march but taking a car which had been ordered by the dealer in january.
Sounds a bit odd to me?

Thoughts?
I was one of those people where my name was added to the order many months after my original order date. I ordered on the 2nd Nov and the name was added to the MG order book on the 18th March 22.
My dealer stated that it would make no difference to when the car arrived. I collected the car today (LR Trophy in Red).

Presume one of the octopus overnight deals?

I was told the same a couple of weeks ago - took a dealer order from November in February. I think it’s the same dealer as you - Minstergate York?

Not heard the same story from anywhere else.
We took a January dealer order in early march.
