New MG4 Shipment?

Smurf Trophy

TBF - I got an answer within 24 hours.
Nice combo. I will admit I did not like the blue when I first saw it, but it has grown on me. Waiting for White Trophy myself. You might get lucky if your dealer is allocated one to replace your ordered one. But I think they did over order the orange paint, loads of those around.

Luckily, I still have 18 months left on my Zoe's PCP.

Stena Ebba is just off the coast of Tunisia, it's showing as next stop Gibraltar, is that not due to end up at Portbury?

Excitingly, I now have the condition best described as "rumblings of the dealer". They have been in touch just now to say they are getting more regular shipments over the next few weeks and mine could be coming later this month.
Just had the same telephone call, a new "to the dealership" sales person just called to introduce themselves and said it could be a November Delivery date, but no information on
VIN = vehicle identification number, the unique manufacturing number for the car (in the old days ‘chassis number’).
or
VRM = vehicle registration mark, better known as the registration number that goes on your number plate.

So in the absence of either VIN / Reg info, I don't know how realistic a November delivery actually is.

A further mail confirmed that "the order is showing on our November log" but again, I don't know what that will actually mean in terms of delivery date.

Things are moving for me at last now. After a failed attempt at ordering through a local dealer, I paid the deposit on a Trophy on 11th November (last week) with another dealer and got the call today that collection will be 5th December.
The dealer already has the car in their new deliveries compound but the reason for the three weeks delay before pickup is that they have very long queue of vehicles awaiting PDI (now there's a surprise - not!).
I'm hoping I get the registration number in time to complete the PCP paperwork and arrange insurance (which is £289 with Aviva btw) and then hope I'm the rare example that doesn't get any of the gremlins!

Another example of differences between dealers. I ordered 24th August, the car I believe arrived on a boat around 21/22/23 October, but the dealer doesn't yet have an estimate for a delivery date to them, or a collection date for me! Also someone on here has mentioned that their car arrived with a dealer the other morning, and was able to pick up that afternoon, whereas you have been told 3 weeks from arrival at dealer to customer collection! Perhaps its because your dealer is bigger, so has more cars to PDI, perhaps its because your dealer is at Bristol and is overlooking the cars at the docks and considers that to be their new deliveries compound!

In my particular case, my Bristol dealer informed me last week that my August order wasn't going to arrive until late February! I cancelled that order as I wanted a car this side of Christmas.
Luckily for me, another dealer 80 miles away had an unexpectedly early delivery of the exact model I wanted. The customer it was originally intended for changed their order, so I was just in the right place at the right time.
Certainly, this new (to me) dealer is part of a large dealer group, so I guess they have a larger allocation of vehicles than the Bristol dealer I had my original order with.

The Stena Ebba has unloaded its cargo of MG’s and has moved to another part of the docks.
The next probable delivery is the Tambarra which is due on the 19th (originally the 17th) hopefully mine should be on this one.

The deliveries are arriving but the bottleneck is getting deliveries from the docks to the dealers.
