When you get the time take it to your dealer as there is a firmware update that has improved this trait. I say improves as it hasn't cured it completely.
Still 'every little' as the saying goes!
You will find that every-so-often when entering the car, sometimes after a charge the radio is set to OFF!
This is such a basic thing that SAIC seemingly can't or are too lazy, to correct!
It came about because of a chip change during the shortage. They have had plenty of time to write a foolproof software patch,.
They initially denied any problem, but with video proof they didn't have a leg to stand on! 3 weeks and a cobbled together patch has fixed some of the issues.
My dealer, Richmond of Portsmouth, were very proactive in kicking asse at MG!
The radio still gives up after about 2 hours use!
Apple Carplay, and I presume Android Auto, flips in an out, which is frustrating when using Waze for instance.
The cable is perfect by the way. It does it on multiple iPhones and cables. It does seem to be a time linked problem, maybe heat, but I don't think so, more likely data hold ups that trip the Carplay out!
No dealer will take a car and drive it for 2 - 3 hours to find the fault!
Other car manufacturers plug in a datalogger in the OBD2 port and monitor the data. SAIC/MG should pull their collective fingers out and do the same!
