An update from MG UK. I ordered Nov 21

Regarding your vehicle order, we can confirm it is currently on shortage awaiting factory build and we cannot confirm an exact arrival date until production has been confirmed.
The production challenges have also been compounded by the huge increase in interest for the Brand and therefore created an even larger amount of customer orders.
How ever, we continue to liaise closely with the teams in China on our orders and are transparent with the network on the information we receive.

Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can in the UK as a Brand to fulfil all our customer orders at the earliest possible opportunity.

Considering the price difference I think I will persevere with MG, also will be interesting to see if you receive your car in September or suffers similar delays. Hopefully you will keep us updated please.

I ordered ZS EV LR in Nov 21, dealer told me March22 delivery at that time but when I contacted in March they said really sorry they had some setbacks from MG and I my car is due around May/June22 time

Mine is also a Nov order... still no delivery date. Last I checked, it was expected in May, so similar timing to yours.

Our LR Trophy, ordered at the beginning of Feb with a May estimated delivery has just been changed to August.

This might put a dent in delivery times ! Rental car company Hertz has announced a deal to purchase up to 65,000 Polestar models

Oh to be able to afford the additional £15k to order something comparable that is likely going to be delivered on a similar date...

From India. Waiting for them to actually start delivering. Ordered Dec 2021.


However in India, the cars are being assembled at a local plant. We are just importing the components. So the timelines will be different as compared to the UK.

Just got the confirmation that the vehicle has been allotted to me and is expected to be delivered in this month!

The dealer said that the car is yet to be shipped from their plant ~450 kms away. Here's to hoping.

Yes it does, I'm in the same position that if it came in August I'd rather wait 4 weeks and get it on the 72 plate. One was supposed to be due in early June and one late June but MG have definitely missed that date by the looks of things. It's just a case of how long down the road are we looking.. which we can't really ask as nobody has an answer.

Not the dealership's fault but they seem to be completely in the dark and have very little concrete information available from our contact with them.

"There's no escaping there has been a delay as we thought there might be with the large demand seen, however the best we could do at the time of ordering is to be transparent with the dates MG are telling us. Unfortunately, the system has let us down and dates across the board have slipped back.

I believe the reality is the delivery dates were achievable, however I don't think they anticipated the volume of orders received.

In a bid to catch up MG have currently stopped dealers from ordering petrol cars to help prioritize the EV's.

I've had no info passed to me from MG regarding Connect models taking longer.

The difference between Trophy and Connect models is software based and currently not aware that requires a further 'chip' or component.

On a positive note, in the last week we've had notice that some of our November/December orders are now ready for shipment. With an estimated delivery of June. So, in theory yours can't be too far behind.

Regarding cars sat at the dock we can confirm we've heard from a reliable source this may be the case and they are continuing to manufacture the cars and just waiting for the final component to be installed before setting sail. This could be the case with your orders!"

I find it hard to believe that they have stopped dealers from ordering petrol cars considering that they just released their sales figures and for March they took more orders than the whole of 2018

You're lucky to be told something......I haven't heard a thing from my dealer for weeks.
Ordered 3rd December.......delivery date, think of a number.
