Show off your car on collection day thread?

Mine had the same, plastic bags with stickers for early November. After seeing grumbles on the ZS forum I was surprised to find a printed owners manual in the glovebox, guess it's just the ZS they've dropped the printed version?
...and it's the smallest format owners manual I have encountered, very sensible size

Same original small sized version on the original ZS EV ( Gen 1 ).
They have decided ( Like other manufactures ) to build the handbook into the head unit of the car.
I am a little "Old School" and prefer a good old fashioned paper copy myself !.

This was mine on collection day last Monday 21st March. Shame they couldn't park it under an MG sign, but they were having new rapid chargers installed round that way. At least I was able to park my trade in next to it 🙂

Collected yesterday from Charles Warner, Lincoln.

Forgot to take photo at the time, so now at home, on charge!
Charles Warner are to be recommended! I got my MG5, identical to this from there in August. Which salesman did you deal with?
Happy Motoring!

Thanks!

The salesman was Matt Randall.

I agree that Warners are to be recommended! This car replaces an MG6, bought new from them in 2015. In fact, I think all the cars I've owned since the late 1990s were bought from them. The first one was actually from Warners in Newark (Farndon Road). Our then house actually backed on to the rear of their premises so, any questions, I simply drove around the corner and was there!

The salesman that I dealt with was Nigel Burley. He was very good from start to finish! I’d driven an automatic in the US but was new to EVs so he spent about an hour with me, in the car, explaining everything in great detail then explaining again as my aging brain didn’t want to take it all in ‘cos of information overload!

We went for a house on Farndon Road about six years ago in The Holt, a bit further along from where you were.

To revive an old thread (maybe there haven't been any deliveries for a few weeks...), my 5LR exclusive in blue is now delivered. Originally ordered late November. Delivery driver was excellent at explaining everything about the car. Was a relief to see that the home charge point we had fitted a few months ago actually works!

What I like so far:
  • Very comfortable car
  • Surprising fast
  • Adaptive cruise control

Not so great:
  • Not sure why but I thought it would come with floor mats. It did not
  • From initial testing the pro pilot thing for steering on motorways seems to only kick in once a white line has been crossed. I thought it would be more useful than this.

Looks good!

Check the menu options - there are three settings for Lane Keep Assist (LKA) - Off, Alert and Departure Assist. Using the latter seems to steer my car so long as keep hands on the wheel - with the Alert kicking in if fight this assist and you cross the line without indicating.

There are a couple of videos on YouTube showing the MG ZS EV using Pilot and how all the sticks twist and move for the various settings too.

Thought it would be nice to have a thread everyone can show off their cars after collecting as a few of us are lucky enough to be picking up orders. So show us your cars....

Triggered of course because I was lucky enough to pick up my LR yesterday!
First new car I've ever had, everything seems to just work and no hassle. Mg crawley (Tom) doing a great job.
I went for blue as I had a series of black, grey and red cars so wanted something different for a change!

Belated post, picked up my LR 15th March

it looks great straight after it's been washed .... (I'm pondering ceramic treatment already cos it's impossible to keep clean!)
I read a lot recently about ceramic coating and many experts reckon that it is a rip-off! But then you will get some who say that you should go for it. I personally think that it is a waste of money. Just keep the car cleaned, properly waxed and polished and it will stay almost like new.

Just picked mine up this morning. Only ordered 23rd March. Was told July then got called last week to say it was ready.

In regards ceramic coating. It is very good. But expensive to get done properly. An alternative is to add in a product called purity x at the end of your washing process (best used with a pressure washer) have a Google. It adds a little layer of ceramic at end of the wash to give you a similar sheeting effect and make next wash easier but doesn't offer the longevity of a proper ceramic coating
