MG ZS LR 2023. Screeching noise whilst cornering!
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, and thanks if you can re-direct me to that thread.
I'm getting a screeching noise from the rear end when I'm going round a right angled bend or corner even from a speed of about 30 mph.
It's OK going...
I may be wrong here (often have been!) but I think the car just reads the speed from the road signs but that means that it picks up any "random" road signs that we may disregard, such as speed restrictions for heavy vehicles etc. My son has exactly the same problem with his Tesla!!
Hello, all,
And apologies if this has been covered and I haven't seen it, but I seem, on occasions, to be getting a coming from my rear end of the car (MG ZS EV LR 2023) whilst cornering.
At first I thought it might just be a bit of tyre squeal due to road conditions but today we heard it...
Thanks all for your helpful responses. I'm back safe and sound and no problems with chargers at all.
I did wince at paying 69 pence at a Jet station, but that's better than 75p at the BP Pulse just a few miles away.
As an aside, isn't York a beautiful and interesting city!!!
I'm heading down south for a few days in York from Scotland next week.
This means I'll be without my safety blanket of the much maligned but actually quite helpful ChargePlace Scotland card.
Any advice on Dos and Don'ts for a travelling Scot, to help me get a charge whilst on my journey...
Yeah, go for it.
Faint heart never won fair maiden.
Or might it be she who is pointing out your recklessness when you are being taken to the next charger on the back of the recovery truck?? :ROFLMAO:
If yo're going by motorway, you're not going to be too far from a wee emergency top-up, anyway.
Oh, That's a tough one in this cold weather!!
How many passengers? Heater - then possibly windscreen wipers, lights, hills and of course what speed are you aiming to drive at.
I'm going to say it'll be too tight so maybe factor in aiming for a rapid top up around the 160-180 mile mark.
Hi @5teep.
I don't disagree with what you say.
Yes, the maintenance is required, and I know it will involve a significant cost.
It's just annoying that having personally reported issues with charging equipment directly to Highland Council almost 3 years ago, it now seems a knee jerk...
I have just heard that Highland Council is proposing a rise in EV charging from 30p to 86p per kWh !!!
For a council area which has a landmass equivalent to that of Belgium, and is hugely dependant upon tourism, this seems a punishing rate for environmentally responsible motoring, not just for...
