Glad you've got yours back now! I've been told that it shouldn't take too long for the replacement charging unit to come...we'll see!! Meanwhile I've now got a loan car, an MG HS plug in Hybrid! Don't want to keep it though!!
Yes I was told the same, about MG giving advice. The garage told me 'these are new cars and we don't carry all the spares'! Given that EVs are supposedly much less complex than ICE cars to maintain presumably there wouldn't be that many spares to keep!
The car wouldn't charge for more than a few minutes from the Easee wall box, then cut out. Same with the granny charger. Easee checked the charger and all was OK. I had about 30% charge when I took the car in and haven't been able to use, or access, it since.
Booked my Trophy into MG Ashford (Kent) on 30th September to sort out a charging issue. They've still got it (30th December)! One part that was ordered to "fix" the problem took 8 weeks to arrive and it didn't work. I'm now waiting to hear whether another part is being ordered, as was...
I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the house mains current was peaking beyond the normal voltage range (235 - 253v). EV chargers don't like that, so the chap from UKPowerNetworks told me! They can put a 'tap' on the line to keep it within the limit apparently. Hope this helps.
"it opened normally and recognised the car immediately..." If only! Every time I get into my Trophy it has forgotten the multiple times I've paired the phone and I have to start again. Very frustrating! Anyone else had this problem and found a way round it?
Thanks in anticipation...!
Many thanks, that sort-of worked! It won’t accept a location that’s off road (as it thinks that’s where I am!) but I can use the main road 200m away which to all intents and purposes is good enough. Many thanks for your help.
Hi all, is it possible to set your current location as a saved item? I live up a little lane quite a distance from the centre of the postcode, and it insists that I actually live 1mile away as a home address! I can’t seem to find an option to do that.
Thanks for any help
Hi, yes air vents open, but no air flow without the fan on? Is that normal do you think? In an ICE car you'd normally get some ventilation from the forward motion of the car.
My new (fabulous!) MG4 Trophy keeps fogging up! The recirculation setting is set
to outside air but unless the fan is on no air appears to be coming in. Is it always necessary to have fan on (?battery drain?) Or shouldn't the forward motion of the car let air in? Any thoughts anyone? Many thanks!
