I just orchestrated a reverse manoeuvre in the dark :)
The LED bulbs are a definite improvement. It's not Wembley by night, the image on screen is still fuzzy, but I can now see more, enough to reverse confidently, which was the objective. The view through the wing mirrors is also usefully...
Thank you! I had in fact seen those vids, and both were very helpful (it is how I learned how to change the bulb).
The chap did not find the Osram LED bulb's to be very good, but I think he mentions that they are only 300 lumens. Hoping the ones I got will be better as they are supposedly...
Thanks. I've just ordered some, supposedly 1000 lumens... I'll report back once tested...
I've just looked-up how to change the bulbs... SAIC didn't make it easy for us!
Is it possible to replace the stock reversing camera with one that is better in low light? Or else is there a brighter reversing light available?
I have to frequently reverse up a long winding unlit drive at night. The reversing camera is all but useless in the dark. I do keep it clean.
Thanks.
Thanks all. It seems to be the general consensus that 2 years too short (it was never drained before)... i.e. it looks like something else might be up.
Indeed, I discovered today from my wife that the lad was "stress testing" the rear left window switch last weekend (the re-enactment was...
We have been happily running our MG ZS EV for just over 2 years since new without any issues, but over the last week we have found it completely dead three times, requiring manual key entry and jump-starting to wake it up. I am wondering whether the 12V battery has simply reached the end of its...

He loves it. I gave him a board to clip it to for flimsy books. Sometimes he clips it to the grab gandle. In either case the lead is long enough to...
Many thanks. I do think it is going to be very expensive option, so will let him try a rechargeable clip-on light first.
I have ordered one of these...

That might actually be a perfect, thank you. Something that clips to the book would certainly save faffing around with mounting it. Plus the light is where it needs to be and moves with the page, so the wobbling issue is sidestepped. Also, it would not distract the driver.
The USB...
... or... simply attach your first option to back of headrest with (black) elastic. It would need a short USB extension lead. That would help get it nice and high - don't really want a light shining in eyes when reading.
Think we're getting warmer, thanks!
