How old are your blades? If more than two years old it might be worth replacing them with some Bosch Aerotwins. They are far superior to the standard MG ones.

It's the diagnostics and availability of the courtesy cars which have taken so long. The part, once MG had agreed that it needs replacing, took 2 weeks to arrive in stock.

If your car will only charge for a few minutes on your home charger before stopping and you've eliminated a defective cable but will charge on a DC charger (Instavolt, Shell Recharge, GeniPoint etc.) then the chances are you have a defective CCU. This might be fixed by a software update but...

I didn't have a niggly software problem before my second service but the CCU decided it didn't like AC electrons anymore. Probably got fed up with them not making their minds up whether they were coming or going. 6 months in and still waiting for a replacement.

@JIS is in France so not covered by the DVLA Might be an interesting situation if you refuse a service campaign update and are then involved in an accident. Would your insurance pay out?

I've found if you gently brake using the brake pedal instead of using the regen/one pedal braking the emergency stop doesn't kick in when you get close to a parked car or bus etc.
