MG5 KERS 3 & Brake Light Operation - Safety Recall?

I have just had my first service at 12000 miles- I have a MG5 long range registered in Jan 2022- and I am pretty sure I have no brake lights when in KERS 3. My dad has followed behind when I have taken my foot off the throttle when in KERS 3 at a variety of speeds between 25 and 50 and he said...

    MG5 SOH

I have just returned from my first service (just over 12000 miles) and the box to record the SOH was blank. When I queried this I was told that MG don’t record SOH readings when the vehicle is serviced. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

The one really irritating thing about the MG5...

I find it annoying that bongs go off for practically everything apart from leaving the charging flap open- hence why I managed to do 100 miles of motorway driving with this not being detected until a very helpful driver told me when I was 10 yards from my hotel!

    Successful trip to Belgium

I did approx 700 miles and charging costs were £39.61- but I am yet to be billed for the Gridserve charge I did on the way home. I will update when that one comes through.

Long range- my battery percentages are accurate but some of my distances might not be!

    Successful trip to Belgium

I am just PAYG. To be honest it was the first option that came up when I googled Ionity charging app. Having said that, it also worked with the Ionity chargers in Belgium and was extremely easy to use.

    Successful trip to Belgium

I have just returned from a very successful trip to Belgium. The car was an absolute joy- so comfortable, and we managed to fit everything in the boot, including my disabled daughter’s portable bedroom which we had to take with us. If anyone is interested in some charging info please read on...

    MG5 LR 2022 Infotainment

I luckily haven’t had any issues with my infotainment screen, but there have been issues reported. I am sure the dealer will be able to sort it, although I think the warranty on the infotainment unit is only 3 years.

    Spare bulb kit

Many thanks for all the replies- I have breathalysers, hi viz vests, spare bulbs, first aid kit, warning triangle, headlamp beam deflectors, UK sticker and 10mm spanner. Oh, and also driving licence, log book and insurance certificate. Have hopefully covered all the bases!

    Spare bulb kit

I have read that I have to carry a spare bulb kit to drive in France. Could someone let me know if a standard spare bulb kit is suitable for the MG5? Many thanks.

    95% Charge

Conversely, having been a highly boring driver recently, my latest 100% charge showed 320 miles! I recently did a 190 mile trip (mostly 60 mph on motorways and A roads) and used 72% battery which I was really pleased with.

    What Colour

I paid £200 for a lot more damage in a similar place on my Leaf- definitely worth another quote.
