Quick update. I tried a friends granny charger and got the same results as mine..... Then I used a DC charger and put 6% in without a problem (apart from annoyance it wasn't the free electricity from solar that usually goes in!) lol

Unfortunately I don't have a spare one to try or know anyone else with an MG4.
