I stopped using mine the moment I heard a jet of water from what appeared to be the dash. In that case nothing was obvious. I booked in at MG for next month but decided to have a go. Another attempt at using the washer I heard the splash but was now definitely from A-pillar and got a few drips...
I've just experienced the leaking rear window washer leaking into to drivers footwell. Here's some pictures to help others.
When I turned the dial for the rear window wash it sounded as if the water was being squirted behind the dashboard directly in front of the driver. It's most likely to be...
Tried to book repair of rear screen washer pipe squirting under dash area only to be told that they are closing down. Not relocating but complete shutdown and site to be redevolped. No information as to whether MG franchise is being taken on by anyone else.
Needless to say chap sounded pretty...
I'm looking for some help on clarifying tyre specification for our 71 reg 5 Long Range that came with Cooper tyres.
We just had a puncture that required a new tyre. It was noticed that the original tyres are Standard Load which I'm told would be an Mot failure. I've replaced the fronts with...
Does anyone see any effect with adjusting the intermittent wiper dial on the stalk? Each time I use ours I do not see any change in the wipers frequency of sweep.
We've just completed our first year in 5LR at 20k with home charging (Ohme Pro with Bulb EV) showing £759 plus guesstimate rapid charging of about £100.
This distance in our old diesel would have been about £3k at 50mpg and £1.60/l.
This makes for about £2k saving on fuel.
There's been a lot of cases of the front/rear washer tube joints popping in sub zero weather. When they thaw your screen wash gets dumped inside the car each time you try to use it.
I always thought the rear view mirror was rubbish at auto dimming until I realised that the centre rear headrest might be blocking the view. I removed the headrest and it works like a charm now.
I'd normally preplan longer journeys for rapid charging at 30% and look for a Podpoint at Lidl or Tesco away from motorways to get to 80%. I use Zapmap which is okay but is a bit clumsy.
Don't assume large towns in densely populated areas have decent chargers. For example Aylesbury is rubbish...
Just a point from my lesson learnt.
When we got our 5LR a year ago the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) showed the tyres at 2.0 bar. After coming back from its first service it was still 2.0 bar. So I've always assumed 2.0 bar was correct until I read the pressure figures inside the...
Yes. My wording could have been better. When I say "max" I meant the limited maximum that the charger should output should the house be drawing as well.
Ohme Home Pro has been good after almost a year. Don't be swayed by the display panel as it's a faff to usea and it's quicker to nip indoors and use the excellent app. Also, it's difficult to see the screen in bright daylight (mine is North facing). Support is good.
I stopped at M1 services on Friday evening near Milton Keynes and saw lots of men standing around a car park on the outer edges. It looked dodgy until I realised they were all waiting for the Tesla chargers!
I think the etiquette is the same as going to the bar to get drinks.
