    Upgrade of house main fuse

See also this https://www.energynetworks.org/industry/connecting-to-the-networks/connecting-electric-vehicles-and-heat-pumps It is the 'property owner' who is required to apply to the DNO. This is carried out for you by the installer, as you have found out the form is really hard to complete...

MG4 not charging on EO mini charger

Can you borrow another EV. See if it charges with your cable, if it does, its the car. If not, swap to their cable, if it does, its your cable. If not at all, its the charger Hope this makes sense.

I would question his qualifications for EV charger installation. Have a read of this https://wepoweryourcar.com/how-to-notify-dno-of-ev-charger-installation/

    Which at home charger?

I have a EO Mini Pro installed. Was repaired by EO due to a burnt out component in September 2023, installed on November 2020 so just inside the 3 year warranty. But, more to the point the software, app still controls the schedule charge.

    BG or Octopus EV tariff

Problem with Octopus standing charge is that are not the same where you are in the country. My current standing charge is 48p per day, but my day rate is 28p per unit. I did post elsewhere that it appears that if you have a higher standing charge your daily cost is lower for 15 day units...

Also the 60 and 100 are physically different in size so a new head would have to be fitted.

    Which at home charger?

They are currently proposed, which will probably become 'law'. However, they cannot be retrospective applied to existing installations. Bit like consumer units (fuse boxes) are only metal now, but my plastic one will not be changed / replaced.

The great big insurance rip off

Try Saga, we are on £320, but the best bit is that the price is fixed for 3 years as long as nothing changes.

    Updates

All updates may have been done, but they have to be done in a certain order. On our MK1 we had the comfort 2 installed but not the updated EVCC. They installed that at my request, which 'broke' some of the comfort 2 settings because it was not installed in the correct order.
