Can you give us your 10 digit order number now you've collected? I would like to see if it's greater than mine, then ask MGUK to explain about allocating by order.

On different note, there is no real order, just your luck, seen orders getting delivered with in few months and others like me waiting almost a year with no end in sight

I wonder if a big load got built around May/June, but couldn't be shipped due to local covid restrictions then another load got built, parked in front of the first batch and thats why the mix match of new and old orders are now coming through.

A better thread title would be Order/Delivery Updates.

The shipping thing is just isn't relevant on MG orders with the lack of build to order transparency.

A further update. from Octopus EV. My car (MG ZS EV SE Black ordered 21/12/21) has indeed been built. See below.

Your MG's been built and is waiting overseas for available transportation. We can indeed see your car due to arrive in December..

Local factors and current affairs would obviously prevent a speedy delivery and most EVs are shipped on very slow-moving boats to reduce carbon emissions.

It looks as though the only hold up is getting the car to you, so we're nearly there.

The wait could be over.

That is essentially what I have been told since July when my car was apparently built. Have a mid October delivery date. hopefully its 2022 not 2023, but wouldn't be surprised. Order date was 6th Jan.

Grand Venus is due 7th October direct from Shanghai. Hopefully has a few on it.

Received a call from dealer an hour ago, he told me that no ZS is likely to now be available and straight up told me to switch to either the 5 ( new model ) or the 4 , both of which he will have on display in November with deliveries due in February

Effectively my ZS order is now dead

Just to clarify, I had a Kia E Soul bought a month ago but discovered afterwards that it wasn’t eligible in Ireland for Hackney or taxi work, reason being boot size, I hope to do local Hackney work so had to cancel

I think he's selling you porkies there. Maybe to avoid the hassle of dealing with customers subject to long waits.

They are v slow coming through for sure, but they haven't stopped.

I asked Tunbridge Wells MG if they have had any Long Range cancellations. They said that they haven’t which sounds a bit suspicious given how many Carwow orders they must have had.
