Condensation in rear light clusters

@Niall B , if you bought from a trader, then the trader have to fix it, irrespective of the MG warranty. By English law they are responsible for 6 months for any problems that can be established were there at the point of sale.

@Paulie68 At least two users of this thread have acknowledged breaking clips and losing water tight seal. The problem with "affordable" cars is that clips are easily broken.
Maybe a "how to" would help in preventing clips from breaking.
Probably beter to do it in the warmer months when the plastic is warmer and more pliable?

Yeah ... after changing my own lights I can say the breaking of those clps wouldn't affect the water seal in any way. It would have to fail some other way to get condensation.

I’ve had condensation in the tail lights of my mg4, I’ve only done a 1000km, and took it for the first service. They told me it was normal. I’ve owned 2 other Meg’s the mg3 and the mg hs and never ever ever had this. In fact none of the cars I’ve ever had did it. So do others have this issue with the mg4? Should the mg4 service centre fix it.?

Ampera's all did it. Lots got replaced under warranty but the replacements all did it too. A few owners found drilling small holes in the bottom allowed the condensation to vent but I never bothered with mine and it never became a real problem.

Hi all.
Only just had my MG ZS EV just over a week and have noticed that there is condensation build up in rear light clusters. Passenger side outer cluster only, but driver's side inner a and outer cluster. Has anyone else on the forum encountered this problem.
Thanks Niall
I've got the same problem on my MG4 trophy. I've got it booked in for a fix.
Apart from this, mine has been excellent so far.
