I have the simple MG4 TESLA Home wall Connector installed in my garage and my MG4 Car that stops charging at different intervals of its choosing.

I keep it simple and do not use my iPhone MG4 settings to stop any program issues between the car and iPhone.

I set up all charging instructions inside the MG4 car and tried charging during the day and night time intervals but still having the same outcome on charging drop out issues.

Makes no difference if I charge day or night I still check it every hour to see if it still charging.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have a read through the Zappi thread as it could be a CCU issue, however, have you eliminated a charger issue, can you try another car on it ?

Can you charge your car on another type 2 charger ?

Done.

It sounds like the CCU issue to me. I don't see why the CCU hardware would vary from standard range to long range models, but I'm no expert on this. [ Edit: the hardware is different, 3-phase versus 1-phase, see next but 1 post. ]

Thank you everyone for your input to my charging problems using a Tesla wall connector to my MG4 Excite 51 EV.
Love this community communication set up for problem-solving.

In the Phase 1 cars (certainly in the UK) the LR models came with 11kW 3-phase onboard chargers but the SR (Excite) model came with a 6.6kW single phase charger. So the CCUs were physically different. (Phase 2 LR cars in the UK come with the same 6.6kW charger as the SE).

To date it's only been the Phase 1 LR CCUs that have seemed to have an endemic issue. (I'm not saying that there can't be other cars with CCU issues, just that it's not widespread so should be treated on a case-by-case basis for now).
