Holy Thread Resurrection X Man!

Great day out with my Old Mucker last week.

I can highly recommend "The Honey Cafe" at Bronllys Nr Brecon.

Some great, empty, driving roads and
beautiful scenery, just on the doorstep.

Interesting seeing people "Double Take" at the cars.

P.S. He now has an excellent MG specific
Number Plate.

Most pictures from my low res rear camera.
Soz.

With apologies everyone- Iā€™m having a regressive afternoon enjoying some noisy, exhaust, tyre and brake pollution at Cowdenbeath Racewall stock car track.

This was actually last August, but I didn't get round to posting the picture at the time.

I drove 450 miles to get here. It's the car park for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and they have 32 PodPoint destination chargers* right beside the opera house (not tucked in a far corner) which are bookable so you know there will be a space for you when you arrive. Every entertainment venue should be like this!

I was slightly narked that the Leaf had connected to the other plug on my post when there were quite a few posts with nobody on them, but in fact it didn't seem to cut my charging speed at all. I was still at 100% and balanced when it was time to leave.

The opera was pretty good too. I'm going twice this year!

* OK, 16 shared-power chargers, 32 plugs.

Superb that sounds like a grand run. Itā€™s really heartening to hear about such venues becoming civilised with so many chargers like that.

They're so damn environmentally conscious that on the menu, where most places might have the calorie count, they gave the amount of CO2 that was emitted to produce the food on the plate. And they advertised that the chargers were (partly) powered from their own wind turbine.

Which didn't prevent everyone having their bags searched on the way in because "Just Stop Oil" had issued some sort of sabotage threat.

I was cruising on Loch Katrine last Sunday then on Wednesday went down to the Devilā€™s Porridge Museum (google it) and then to the brilliant Dumfries and Galloway Aircraft Museum.
Not a charger near them and had a fascinating lecture from a guy about just how useless these daft electric cars are. DM reader Iā€™d guess šŸ¤©

Did you tell him?
No he knew and I sensed Iā€™d be there for a while on his rehabilitation and I need to be in San Diego in a few weeks chauffeuring granddaughter through California in the blazing sun (tough but someone has to do it)
