EV opposition in the media is ramping up

My goodness. The DM is really ramping it up. I continue to fight the good fight on their discussion boards but get absolutely battered with red arrows and abusive comments. I will still keep going though as I believe changing just one person's mind is a success.
Keep up the good work, I know it's hard but the truth needs to be told and the lies exposed. I'm doing much the same but with heat pumps

These petrol and diesel and gas fuels are horrible.
They’re scientifically proven to be very toxic to the environment before, during and after their use.
They absolutely stink before, during and after you use them.
They pollute our lovely world before, during and after their use, especially if they can’t be contained properly or that container leaks or is involved in an accident. They cause many explosive accidents and even after these accidents their leakage causes multiple other accidents due to skidding and slippage.
The transport of the raw materials requires vast amounts of their resultant refined product for their delivery.
Wildlife can’t cope with anything to do with them,

Imagine suddenly attempting to bring these products to market in todays world ?

Not to mention trying to explain the design theory ... "I've got a great idea guys! Let's develop a new motive power unit which requires onboard storage of flammable liquid plus multiple micro-explosions to enable a drive shaft to turn road wheels!" 🤣

Aye but remember all those fluids and gases are actually stored / piped in to houses and other buildings too 😱
It’s cost me a good bit but I had the gas removed from the house many years ago.

I'm having our gas boiler replaced with a Tepeo Zero Emmission Boiler in August, and an electric cooker with induction hob soon after. Hoping to be gas free this year.

The Niger delta has been turned into a wasteland.

Superb, I installed a Heatrae- Sadia Amptec unit in place of the old Baxi gas boiler years ago - excellent unit.
Gas cooker went at the same time to be replaced with electric- love, love ,love the induction hob, so fast and controllable.
Only the steam toothbrush to replace now to fully update 🤩

Tepeo is a great device, well thought out and seems to work well. I looked at installing one but the physical size of it and the running cost steered me away. It is a very green source of heat if your electricity is green but at the moment it's not competitive with gas for heating. The government should give more incentives eg 0% VAT on electricity, 25% VAT on gas or similar to steer people across into the green side.

Yes, it's only really viable for people with solar PV and batteries to make it cheaper than gas heating.

But in reality, the time that you need heating is when solar is at its lowest performance i.e. winter. Batteries don't really figure into it, Tepeo itself is a battery, it stores heat rather than electrons. It is a great product. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it.

I'll keep a log and report back. Also, I'll be saving on the gas standing charge when I have the meter removed, which will add to the savings.
