Have just seen this review
of a supposed 2024 'facelifted' ZS EV available for the Malaysian market. It appears new because of the changes to the look of the infotainment screen and is the sunroof also now back again? Just about to buy the no sunroof Trophy version, so should I cancel in the hope of this face-lift coming to the UK?

Following link also shows a ZS variant for 2024 with a sunroof

I loved the pano roof in my old VW until the day it got stuck open and started pouring down! I eventually managed to shut it and it stayed shut.

I have the trophy connect so no pano roof but voice control which has a command open sunroof. Oh the irony.

It’s not a facelift just new software, some cars have it already.

Thanks but is MG bringing back the sunroof to the UK Trophy and when? It's such an attractive feature that I would be willing to wait for it I think.

I have recently seen MG ZS EV adverts on tv and they clearly show the sunroof. I can't imagine that they are advertising something that is not going to be available again but you never know.

that's what nudged me to buy the one I bought second-hand... are you looking for new or second-hand?

Yes you can get them with a pano roof, should be able to get a Trophy LR for 27k.
In the UK? Currently plan to buy new through a dealer in Hemel Hempstead. £26200 for the the Trophy LR in red. A good deal as includes the Affinity scheme discount but as far as I know without the panoramic roof. But they know I wanted this feature, so perhaps they plan to surprise me? More likely want to move older stock first I guess.

Yes. Sounds about right price to me, make sure it comes with a granny cable under boot floor, type 2 cable in bag and mats if not get them thrown in. If you aren’t fussed with colour I’m sure they have one with a pano roof.

I was in a local dealer about two weeks ago and to my surprise, there was a ZS EV Trophy in silver in the showroom.
What caught my eye, was the fact that it still had the sky roof fitted !.
When I made this point to the sales person, he said he had no idea that it had been removed ( that’s about right ) ?.
He said a “few” cars in stock, but not sure on colour choices.
These have to be “pre” sky roof delete cars, that have been sitting around somewhere.
Not sure if these were standard range or long range models though.
So, there must still be a few new “ordered for stock” sky roof models dotted around the country.

I’m not so sure as if you look at the “new” cars on Autotrader they have different software on the infotainment, I doubt a dealer would update the software on a new old stock car.

So, is the suggestion then that MG have now reintroduced the sky roof back into the top spec models of the ZS EV facelift models then ?.
After it announced that any new / scratch factory orders placed after June / July of last year was not likely to have the Sky roof included ?.
We do already know that some forum members do actually own top spec models without the sky roof included.
When they announced the sky roof delete, this also came with the body blow of another price increase.
But they did say that they would include the connect voice command option FOC as the consolation prize.
On the latest price list, is the sky roof included on the spec sheet ?.
If not on the spec sheet, it’s not going to be included.
Update :- I have just gone through the MG on-line spec sheet for the ZS EV and I can not find any mention of the car having a sky roof anymore.
But voice command has been included on the Trophy model by what I can see.
If this is correct, then any new cars found WITH the sky roof, are surely group dealer stock, order before the cut off date.

Panoramic glass roof is not listed in published specs for any current ZS ev on their UK website

I thought it was mid 2022 that the sunroof disappeared. Mine is April 2023 and didn’t have it. Looking on Autotrader you can see plenty of cars with a pano roof and I hope they aren’t 2022 builds!

Check out 'ZS EV 2024 panoramic roof' on YouTube. Have found recent 2024 videos all showing the pano roof for Cambodia, India & Malaysia. Not clear why MG would introduce to these markets and not reintroduce to the UK at the same time?

MG has a ready made excuse to reintroduce as understand they stopped in 2022 only because of component shortages during Covid.

I think we all understand that what can be standard fit in other countries, has no reflection on what spec the UK receives.
This is common with other manufactures, not just MG.
The original ZS EV had the Ismart App and voice command in Thailand, not in the UK.

Except this was previously standard fit in the UK? Or perhaps MG wants to sell off all its non pano roof Trophy's before making the pano roof available again!

Have emailed the dealership I'm buying from about preferring to wait for the pano roof. Will let you know what they say.
