Is it possible to format a USB stick to play albums on the new MG5? My old car would allow albums to play from the same stick I am now using, but cycling through the USB options only seems to give Single repeat, Shuffle and Alphbetic order on tracks.

I have found out that the new NAVI system is Android based. Because of this the Windows formats that worked with the old system does not work and you need to change to somthing like MP3. This worked but not great as the system seems to forget that the stick is in and you have to replug it to...

I had this problem. I got mine through Flow, which is LV specialist EV supplier. It was the only company that I could find.

On mine its identifes as a HS which is not an Electric car. I think the non electric functionality works but nothing to do with the electric. This is a problem for me as I would like to use it as Control and monitor while charging.

I have raised this with MG customer support so hopefully they will pass this to the MG software team.

Yes I am using the front right socket. Its the only one that seemed to detect the USB.

Thanks for the link, My music files are WMA so its a supported format. The stick is 8 gb and Fat32 so in size. So I am not sure why it does not work. The system can see them but says that they are data and not music.

I have tried at another charger and it worked, so it looks like I was just unlucky with the first charger I tried.

Went to the garage this morning and they told me how to contact MG support, so I have rasied it with them.

I think it was a Rapid charger ie used both parts of the plug.

Just got my MG5 I tried to play the music from USB stick I have been using for years in my old car The stick is detected by the system but none of the files on it are. Does a USB stick have to be in a particular format? Any ideas?

Just got my MG 5 today and tryed to rapid charge it. Set up a PodPoint account, connected the car and selected confirm in the app. Kept getting err 63 on the charger. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Just got my new MG 5 today I have been able to register my car with iSmart and bind it using the Q code The problem is that the model is wrong so I have no control over the Electric stuff as its says its not an Electric car. Any body got any ideas?
