I tried this and it works! Thanks for the tip. The car has been back to the dealer who diagnosed a faulty actuator. They reckon they can have it sorted by the end of the month - not holding my breath!!

Has anyone fitted a RGM Rearguard to a facelift 2023 MG5? RGM only show the pre-facelift on their site and can't confirm if this one will fit the later model. The top of the bumper where it would fit looks the same but as we all know, looks can deceive!! Ta.

Hi, I have no idea what the acronym FICM actually stands for, I took it to mean the screen in the middle that shows the Infotainment, Nav etc. The help desk is actually "Customer Service" and the email is: [email protected]. Hope this helps.

Is there an owner's manual in hard copy for the Facelift 2023 MG5 Trophy LR? I know it's on the Infotainment screen and also accessible via i-Smart app on my phone but I would prefer a book to look through.

Was my own fault not checking on handover, so many other things to learn! I managed to finally get it working yesterday after an email to MG Helpdesk. They suggested that I do a factory reset of the FICM and gave me some instructions. Seems to be OK........At the moment!!

Yep. My 2 week old Trophy LR is exactly the same. It defaults to --- if there aren't any signs to read!!
