    Cambs to Glasgow and back

Yes it was not an exact science but I knew the Ionity was a cert. If Tesla open up their new station at Carlisle then Ionity will be history. One thing yesterday at Harrogate there were Audis using the Tesla machines as the end bay had parking, allowing the car with its rear charging port on the...

    Cambs to Glasgow and back

That's their membership price at £5.49pcm which drops the price by 18p a KWh or into profit after 30KWh.

    Cambs to Glasgow and back

No, dead as a dodo. I assume that the shop being open grabbed any signal. There is always a new way for charging stations to confuse.

    Cambs to Glasgow and back

Drove from Cambs to Glasgow and back yesterday (Collecting the last of our offspring from Uni) with the aim of checking out Tesla in Harrogate and Larkhall along with Ionity at Gretna Green. Route is A1,A66,M6,M74. Harrogate because it is another option from using Gridserve at Wetherby (78p per...

You CAN road trip an SE SR

I would use it for both north and south. More interesting scenery and largely quieter roads and about 30p cheaper per kWh for the 2 large top ups are not to be sniffed at.

You CAN road trip an SE SR

Cut across from the M6 to the A66 and A1. So charge at Carlisle; Tesla Harrogate and Tesla Cambridge - reliable and cheaper.

    Jump start

The cost of a power pack - circa £50 - which you could keep in the van so useful when the van is not with the car, is a lot easier and more useful.

Scheduled charging - what am I doing wrong.

Charging to 100% tonight will not damage the battery.

    Dashcam install

Depending on DashCam, you only need one, a switched but a permanent feed with battery protection allows the camera to be woken up if it detects movement or someone crashes into the vehicle.

Using Zap Map And Zap Pay For The First Time

Gridserve on the m56, 12@350, would be my option.

    Timed charging not starting

I had a thread a couple of weeks ago (podpoint) and found that less was more. So times set on charger to reflect cheap hours and time set on car. I now only use app to set 80 or 100%.

    Installing heated seats

The 15amp fuse is 2nd in from the side and while the 'MG4 dash cam film' mentions it - does not actually use it but the one next to it - as did I for simplicity. You may want to test the fuses if size is an issue which my wife often re-assures me isn't.

Podpoint and scheduled charging; app settings reverting

Going off for a couple of months and my son will be at home with the car so schedule on PP would be the option as he can buy his own charge if he misses the timeframe :) I will test all the options as best I can over the next few weeks as want to fully understand

Podpoint and scheduled charging; app settings reverting

Son used the car last night and plugged it in without me knowing and it topped up to 80%. Had re-set PP on 'only use during cheap periods' which is where it had been. Looking at the app, scheduling appears now to be defaulted to on and 0105hr to 0600hr so that's good. Not sure how all this...

Podpoint and scheduled charging; app settings reverting

Will try. When something works intermittently it is more frustrating than when it does not work at all. Thought I had it sussed. Car not been out today so will try tomorrow :)
