    MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

I've had the official (Australian) fix done, other than peace of mind I haven't noticed any functional difference.

    MG4 intermittently will not start

Good thing you got it resolved. Sounds similar to my issue in that the gateway module was involved. I don't know what it does but going by the name I'm guessing it helps with connecting all the modules together which I guess makes sense given the symptoms. I also haven't had any repeat...

EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON DASH AND VEHICLE WONT MOVE OUT OF PARK !

I just took it back to my dealer/service center. I'm in Australia. MG Australia are next to impossible to contact directly, not sure what it's like over there. When my car was in this state (lots of warnings on the dash + couldn't drive) this button wasn't available. The text/row in the UI was...

EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON DASH AND VEHICLE WONT MOVE OUT OF PARK !

Yes. I had to wait ~5 weeks for the module to be shipped from China (they gave me a loan car while waiting).

EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON DASH AND VEHICLE WONT MOVE OUT OF PARK !

Has some similarities to my issue, I also got a dash full of warnings and could not move out of park. However my keys always worked and the issue would resolve itself after some time. The eventual fix was to replace the "gateway module".

    MG4 in Australia

I don't think so. I had the same problem, I just stuck some soft foam to the garage door at points of contact to avoid damage.

    MG4 intermittently will not start

Not the same issue. I would unlock, sit down, not touch anything, get a dash full of errors which would clear anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours later. Unable to drive the car while in this state.

    MG4 in Australia

One of the updates I got changed the ACC button to do increments of 1km/h instead of 5km/h (now a long press does 5km/h - the behaviour switched). The behaviour of ACC and TJA also seemed to somewhat improve. No version changes for that update. 🤷

    MG4 in Australia

Mine showed that version before the OPD update and it stayed the same after I got it. These version numbers tell us pretty much nothing.

    MG4 intermittently will not start

It does sound very similar to my issue, not sure if it's exactly the same, e.g. I could always lock my car after getting the errors. I never got them while driving, only when trying to start the car. For me the errors also started within a couple of months of buying it. If I were you I'd just...

    MG4 in Australia

There's no way to know. There's lots of different updates for a bunch of different modules. My car has had quite a few updates and the version displayed for the infotainment system has never changed.

    MG4 intermittently will not start

Finally got my car back today. In case anyone happens to ever have the same/similar symptoms, the notes from the service place are "CCU & IMCU not update / madule [sic] failure. Performed software update in CCU & IMCU. Replaced gateway module and retested, junction box FA080/FC077. Cleaned and...

    MG4 intermittently will not start

Mine is still at the dealers, 3 weeks now. The first day they said MG had given them a software patch which they applied, I told them to please make sure it had fixed the issue, so they kept it another day to check. The next morning they called and said they'd reproduced the issue, so the patch...

    MG4 intermittently will not start

To be clear, it is already an intermittent fault, it has been happening 1-2 times/week (though it happened twice yesterday). Other times it is fine. The first time it went to the dealer they couldn't reproduce it and just updated all the software and claimed it was fixed. Even if I disconnected...

    MG4 intermittently will not start

It's definitely not that. Even if it was, the user experience of "oh you pressed the brake too soon, now I'm going to display every fault possible and not let you start the car for 20-30 minutes" isn't acceptable. The short version of what happens is: Unlock the car. Do not hear the usual...

    MG4 intermittently will not start

thanks for the info - I think I likely wont do this myself as it's already booked in to go back to them to look at, and I don't want to do anything that will make them turn around and blame me for!

    MG4 intermittently will not start

I have tried that, it just gives the same errors. Do you think that might be a "permanent" fix? If I have to do that each time it happens it's not really any different from just leaving it to "fix" itself. Have tried that, seems fine. I read the voltage with a meter the first time it happened...

    MG4 intermittently will not start

I'm going to guess time in your case wasn't 20-30 minutes. Did you get a lot of warnings on the dash? E.g. I get "Autohold fault", "Hill hold currently unavailable", "Airbag fault", "HV Battery Shut Off", "Stability control fault" etc. etc. I get warnings notifications on my phone too.

    MG4 intermittently will not start

I'm having a problem with my MG4 51 excite (Australian) where it sometimes refuses to start. I unlock, get in, dashboard lights up with what seems to be every possible warning. It doesn't display a battery SoC (just ---%). I cannot put it in drive or reverse, but neutral/P works. I also cannot...
