Dead 12v battery - any help and advice please?

We have just come back from NZ after 3 weeks away. Having read of a few issues, we left the car with 35% charge. When we came back, wary of others' experiences on here, I unlocked the car. Success, I sat in and tried the lights, wipers etc.. All good. Took it out for a spin and it was fine...

    MG4 LR 2024 issues.

We have trouble connecting via AA and BT to our 4. We are in NZ at the moment and have hired two cars recently: a Nissan X-Trail (awful CVT box!) and a Toyota RAV4 (still CVT but much better). Both of them connect to AA without a hitch when connected via the same 2 leads we have used on the MG...

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Mrs S used to live in London. Spent much time travelling up and down the M-ways. Also, you can catch up online.

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Sounds like one of those hopeful hookups in the London papers..... "You were in a black MG4 at the lights in Carnwath, I was in a blue one. Fancy meeting up to make sweet music?"

    Car Registration Numbers

M covers Manchester and Merseyside. But I think in these areas it's random as to which second letter you get. Ours begins MC, another MG4 I have seen in our area begins MT and they were both registered at the same dealer. A few miles from this dealer and you're in the Deeside registration area...

    Car Registration Numbers

Is it a private plate? Ireland plate? Current style regs cannot contain a Z in the first two spaces.

    Car Registration Numbers

I can remember all my previous registration numbers. The oldest car I owned was a 1975 Beetle. None of them contained a Z (which prior to the current reg system could have only appeared on Ireland registered cars). None of the cars I have owned have had an X in the reg. I didn't ever own a car...

Well this sucks (XPower crash tested) 🙄

IMO, Car repairs are like estate agents. You have to ring them. Every day. Or your repair or house purchase gets put on the back burner. It's who shouts loudest. I had a car repair done years ago. Told it would be a week. Five weeks later, it was ready. The paintwork was awful, so I...

    What colour did you choose?

I thought silver was a MY24 colour in the UK? Perchance I am mistaken.

    What colour did you choose?

Camden Grey was my fave too, but Mrs S said it was too dark and so we picked the red.

    What colour did you choose?

My gripe with paint is that the undercoat is invariably light coloured. Why? I know it means using different coloured undercoats, but how much better would a car look when scratched or chipped with a similar colour undercoat? Our outgoing Honda FRV in black had white undercoat. It looked...

    MG Paint Colours

I wondered if anyone here had a MY24 car. I suspect the colours are the same, but the names have changed.

    What colour did you choose?

I have noticed over the decades that a lot of cars look much more appealing in one particular colour than any other. Personally, I like the look of my red 4, especially when the sun is shining.

    Trophy ER - Holborn Blue

Yeah, Mrs S wanted to get rid of it on day 1. Me, I wouldn't be bothered because most of the vehicles I have driven don't have a rear window.

    MG Paint Colours

I've always wondered where the inspiration came for the modern MG colour palette. My Mum said her Dad had an Austin in BRG (the old colour, solid green). I know Austin and MG were not related. This was later reinvented in the 80s by ARG who brought out their metallic take on the old colour...
