Good question @Cocijo. When we picked up our car in January it had a low battery and it was raining. To ensure we got home we only turned the A/C on when the car steamed up.
Another question, what happens when the A/C is off and you turn the temperature down a couple of blue blobs? If blue/cold...
I love the car and bought it for local journeys, dump and supermarket runs etc. However, having the car for some time we would really like to use it for our longer jaunts. Unfortunately the cold gateing and realistic charging speeds we’ve experienced has ruled it out for this work. Plus the lack...
Well, I had the wheels off this week for a spring clean and I was surprised how little rust the suspension was showing and I live by the coast. Also I only have one bung at the front of the floor, the other holes are open. Again no signs of rust. Where there are signs are mainly around the...
@a6taxipl , sorry to hear of your experiences with Richmonds. Apart from what I mentioned above my dealings with them had been OK although it’s only when given a problem to deal with does a firm show its real abilities.
Unfortunately, the next nearest dealership to you is either Portsmouth or...
Could it be that the car simulates the Kers levels when using ACC to keep the driving experience the same for the driver. No regen when in ACC maybe a cost saving.
Ok, an update from my previous post last Sunday. Yesterday I used the last of my Dinitrol cavity wax to inject the cills . When I did a “dry run” with the injection pipe it had yellow wax on its tip which could only have got there if there was already wax in the cill. Therefore, I didn’t need to...
I’m afraid this might turn out to be the compromise that we have been anticipating in our “value for money” MGs. I have posted before regarding this issue and only this week I found rust developing on the windscreen wiper spindles.
Many of us on this forum will have experience in preventing and...
Having read the above, all valid stuff, can I say that my car had a strange smell for months when new. We put it down to Chinese plastics. All gone now.
OK reference my previous post on this thread, I rechecked the flap open warning and it’s not doing the flashing lock switch LED anymore. My guess is that the function was deleted as part of the Comfort 2 update.
The warning is the blue/orange strip LED in the driver’s door lock switch flashing. Also horn bibs when you try and lock the car Not very obvious I know.
I found this out ‘cos I’d shut the flap but I hadn’t pushed it fully home to engage the micro switch.
