    MG4 + Zappi Charger + Solar = a problem

I use the 7.5p tariff, over the winter I also use that to charge the batteries and then use that thru the day, in the summer or now I only top up the battery for a short period like an hour or so. to get onto that tariff you have to have a compatible car or charger, and in your case the car is...

    MG4 + Zappi Charger + Solar = a problem

@Rolfe - I don’t know your giv energy model but it sounds like your model is 3.5/6kw max charge or discharge rate, I believe there very latest model is 5kw capable. If you want to charge in 1 continuous block at a low minimum rather than granny but get the excess solar then use eco mode (not...

    MG4 + Zappi Charger + Solar = a problem

@STG - have a similiar'ish setup to you, so let my batteries charge first, then either the Eddi for hot water or the Zappi for car -- I don't use the export scheme as I'm a back in the day FIT customer so I get paid for everything I generate for quite some years to come. So in the eco+ settings...

Hiya Got my MG4 on Monday and really enjoying so far, few pain points but learning. Current biggest concern is the charging, I had a leaf with the exact same setup and that worked as it should, but now with the MG4 in the picture having a problem. Basically my Zappi charger is set to Eco++...

I hate this car please reassure me

I'm scared now, I've had Leaf's for the last 10 years too and just switched to an MG4 this week. Not much experience but on the points above:- 1 - My leaf engaged emergency brake a few times when there was really no need for it, the MG4 so far has not done this, bit I've only done a few trips...

    Dashcam install

Possibly a silly question as the talk is on hardwire here, any cons to just using the cigarette 12v that comes with most dash cams, I've used that in my last 3 cars not MG's? I assume it because you cannot use the park monitor anything else?
